‘The Notebook’ TV series at The CW has Nicholas Sparks’ blessing
During the network’s panel at the 2015 summer TV press tour press tour, CW president Mark Pedowitz hinted that if the pilot is greenlit to series (which has author Nicholas Sparks’ blessing in that he’s serving as executive producer), it will follow the young versions of main characters Noah and Allie, famously played by Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams in the 2004 film, and not the older versions.
